New in our investment advice

Our investment advice will expand to cover a wider selection of asset classes. You can now make long-term investments also in the asset class “alternative investments”. The investment alternatives are hedge funds and real estate.

We believe that in the long term the return expectations of the traditional asset classes will be more moderate and the equity markets will no longer provide the jackpots seen in the 1990s and the 2000s. Moreover, with the globalisation of the investment environment, the returns from the fixed income and the equity markets of different regions are increasingly inter-connected.

For a long time, institutional investors have sought better diversification benefits and a better risk/return ratio for their investment portfolios by diversifying their investments in alternative investments. For private investors, however, the possibilities to place their assets in these types of investments have been limited. 

Nordea Private Banking is now offering its clients a new asset class for long-term investing – alternative investments – to complement the more traditional investment alternatives. We think that there is now a sufficient number of good-quality investment instruments on offer, suitable as alternative investments, with minimum subscription sums that make them accessible to private investors, too. From these instruments we have built a new asset class in which the product risk related to individual investment instruments, market risk and portfolio manager risk are diversified as efficiently as possible.
